10-Day Tour to the Imperial Cities of Morocco and the Oasis of the South



Day 1: Arrival to Casablanca
Pick-up at the Mohammed V airport Casablanca, transfer to the hotel, check-in, Dinner and accommodation.
Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Volubilis - Fez (360 km)
After breakfast, departure to Rabat. Visit of the city including: The Royal Palace "Al Mechouar", the famous Hassan Tour, and the Oudayas Kasbah. Continuation to Meknès where you will start with the iconic "Bab Mansour" an incredible gate revealing the glorious architectural style of the Almohads dinasty; and "El Hadim Square" the lively heart of the medina. Lunch in Meknes. Next is the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, home to some of the most impressive Roman ruins, via Moulay Idriss, also known as Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, a picturesque setting for one of Morocco’s most important pilgrimage sites. Our drive will take us to Fez. Check-in, dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 3: Fez
After breakfast, the day will be dedicated to the visit of the religious iconic capital of Morocco: Fès el bali, the historic heart of the city, the medina with its Attarine and Medersa Bou Inania, its Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum and the famous Al Quaraouiyine Mosque (entry prohibited to non-Muslims). Lunch will be in the Medina.
In the afternoon, visit Fez Jdid, where the current Royal Palace and the old Mellah are located. Check-in, dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 4: Fez - Erfoud (445 km)
After breakfast, departure to Erfoud via Ifrane. Lunch at Midelt. Continuation to Erfoud in the heart of Tafilalet palm grove. Check-in, dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 5: Erfoud - Rissani - Alnif- Tazarine –N’kob- Zagora
After breakfast, departure to Rissani, a village renowned for its lively souk and markets, built near the ruins of Sijilmassa, the mythical capital of Tafilalet and the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty. We continue our tour to Zagora, stopping by Alnif for a tasty lunch, then Tazarine, N’Kob and Tansikht to go down the Drâa valley. Check-in, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Zagora - Agdez - Ouarzazate
After breakfast, appreciate a free morning to discover the city of Zagora, Morocco’s main date production area. departure to Ouarzazate via Agdz. Lunch at Kissane restaurant in Agdez, Continuation to Ouarzazate through the Tinifift pass, the village of Ait Saoun.  a visit to Morocco Fim Studios “Little Hollywood” in Ouarzazate. Check-in, Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 7: Ourazazate- Tinghir - Ouarzazate (338 km)
Departure to the oasis of Tinghir after breakfast, visit of the Todgha gorges, impressive granite walls over 300 m height. Lunch in Tinghir.
In the afternoon, continuation to Kalaat M'gouna, the Skoura oasis and Ouarzazate. Check-in, dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 8: Ouarzazate - Marrakech (224 km)
After breakfast, visit to Taourirt Kasbah. Lunch in Ouarzazate and continuation to ksar Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most beautiful sites in the South of Morocco. After a short break, we will continue to Marrakech via Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260 m). Check-in, dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 9: Marrakech- Essaouira-Marrakech
After an early breakfast at the hotel ( 8:00 am), we’ll start our journey driving to Essaouira, 170 km and 2.5 hours’ drive to arrive at the legendary city of powerful ramparts, galleries,  magnificent beach and lively harbour.
Lunch will be at CHEZ SAM restaurant or at a similar seafood speciality restaurant, offering delightful seafood menus. After lunch, visit to the legendary city of Essaouira formerly known as Mogador. This charming little blue and white fishing port is a veritable labyrinth of streets revealing traditional yet fabulous architecture. The climate here is moderate, mild and constantly windy compared to Marrakech.
Prestigious burl Thuja woodwork designed by craftsmen is what Essaouira is famous for throughout the kingdom and even beyond the country's borders. You will also be fascinated by the beautifully decorated silver jewellery revealing the Jewish community heritage for a long time.
Visit to Essaouira Port Gate “Porte de la Marine”, one of the main gateways, SKALA, the Jewish part and the neighbourhood where craftsmen work cedarwood and silver. Return to Marrakech. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 10: Marrakech sightseeing
After breakfast, morning time will be dedicated to the historic visit of Marrakech: the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, precious heritage from the time of the Great Sultan Ahmed Al Mansour, and the necropolis next to the kasbah mosque. Lunch is a time to enjoy the delights of the Moroccan cuisine in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon, visit of the medina and its maze of winding streets to admire the local craftsmen works, the lively souks and beautifully end the day with a visit to the famous Djamaa El Fna square. This is the most famous place in Morocco being classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. The place is also an esplanade of life and a place of entertainment offering an irresistible public show: storytellers, public writers, musicians, water carriers, jugglers, acrobats, snake charmers, Monkeys, herbalists, henna tattoo makers and much more. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Return flight
After breakfast, Pick-up and transfer to the airport, assistance and return flight.
